Thanks, YouTube

I learned how to work on double pointed needles! I got these like so long ago and then tried to learn how to knit on them and got super confused and gave up. But then I tried again and turned to our good friend, YouTube. YouTube is very very helpful. Then I stuffed it with cotton balls that I broke up then sewed up then bottom and wah-lah I made a cactus! I also bought a pot at Michael's for realistic feels. I love Michael's. I just went to Michael's the other day before I bought the pot and then I went today and I'm still not tired of it. I love Michael's a lot. I made this for my sister's college going away present because I saw a pattern for it or I had an idea for it and then looked up a pattern or something like that and I thought it would be perfect because you get the aesthetic of a cactus/succulent but not the hurting of it and the every once and awhile watering. People usually like succulent type plants for the aesthetic and the not having to water it often-ness. However, for this you don't have to water it ever and please don't water it ever.

Tank You Very Much

I finished the first half of the tank top! The pattern calls for knitting one half and then the other half and then sewing them together with yarn. I love saying "calls for" because that's what you say when you're talking about a recipe and this isn't a recipe haha so silly. I got a job! I summer job in the middle of summer! Woah. Anyway, I'm going to be a part time nanny and I'm super excited and nervous. It's only Monday through Thursday and It's only for about 5 hours and I don't have to wake up early! I've been knitting so much lately and I love it! I'm still working on the other side of this tank top. I think it's going to be all orange on the back because I ran out of green. Project secrets! I've also been reading a lot lately. It feels so nice to have time for my hobbies! I've missed them, so. Last night I finished watching this documentary called "Going Clear" and it's about Scientology and it's crazy. It's so intense and I would recommend it to people if they seemed like they were maybe interested in it.

Hat Puns Are Beanie-th Me

Hey! I made a hat in about 10 hours, which is kinda impressive sort of. This is like most of all of what I've done all day. What a productive summer thus far. I made this for my friend, Iliana's birthday. I'm going to see her when I go to New York so I wanted to make sure I gave her a good birthday present! I made up the pattern pretty much and then for the decreasing at the top I used one from another pattern that is basically the same style of hat. This hat is cool beans because you can have the brim rolled up or rolled down. Multi style hat! I've also been watching How I Met Your Mother all day. I also made grilled cheese for the first time today! I made it with swiss cheese instead of the usual american. So adventurous am I! I watched a group of friends hang out all day (in How I Met Your Mother) rather than hang out with my actual friends. How fun! I'm fun and funky and cool. Today I played basketball with my sister and she's a lot better than I am. I'm still continuing with the tank top. Keep your ears turned on for more tank top/other knitting projects to come! I have way more free time now.

I Progress in my Knitting and in my Educational Life

Heyyyy. I think I'll make the last blanket bigger, but like later because I want to work on more projects. Like this one! I'm making a tank top. Yesterday was my last day of high school and also when I took these pictures. This is one side of the tank top and the bottom of the tank top. So I'll sew the two sides together once I make them. Hopefully it'll turn out ok. I also want to make some hats for 2 friends and my Mom at some point. Today was my school's senior awards ceremony and that was fine I guess. I've been pretty bored for the rest of the afternoon, though. I just finished watching all of the episodes of the TV show, Malcolm In The Middle and it really wasn't as good towards the end, so. Don't you love these pictures of me and my cat, Sadie? She's so cute. Also I'm so cute. 2 cute cutes. Hopefully I'll be able to knit more because I'm out of school now. I've missed knitting so much! I very much enjoy creating. Like there's something so special about creating something with your own hands and having a finished product and also having something that has progressed from before. Yeah, I know I have a lot of pictures below, but this is my world and you're just living in it.
I think I'm going to miss school. Like there are some things I really won't miss, like people who are not great, but I'm going to miss some people and the teachers and the comfort of it. I actually like school. I was always that nerd who was like "I don't think school is gross." Haha oh I'm such a goody two shoes. But like it was a really rough transition for me to go from middle school to high school and like it felt like there were a lot of people who took advantage of me. I also had like other problems, but I feel like I've really grown a whole lot at this school. It taught me how to be with myself and also how to reach out to other people. And if the reaching out wasn't reciprocated, to build up a tolerance and learn how to deal with disappointments like that and then to learn that it didn't really matter all that much. I think I'm going to miss my school, but I have a feeling that the next one is going to be really good for me. Like really good. I hope it's really good.
